OSHA requires each company using access equipment in the workplace to designate a "competent person" on the job site. This person is someone who is "capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them."
Associated Scaffolding Company offers one-day educational programs to give your personnel the basic knowledge to function as a competent person for the erection and use of supported scaffolds, swing stages or fall protection systems. These programs cover the standards governing each system and help prepare students to identify and correct hazards.
The minimum class size is 10 students. If you have 10 or more employees who would like to attend, contact us, and we can arrange to have these classes taught at your location. The size of our classes may be negotiated for larger classes, if necessary. Our largest class to date is a bilingual training class for 600 students held in a local arena.
Please schedule in advance to reserve seating.
